David Konisky is an Assistant Professor in the Truman School of Public Affairs at the University of Missouri. He received his PhD in political science in 2006 from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology, and also holds masters' degrees in Environmental Management and International Relations from Yale University, and a bachelor's degree in History and Environmental Studies from Washington University.

Konisky has broad research interests in American politics, specializing in regulation, bureaucracy, and environmental policy. His current research focuses on state environmental regulatory competition, the politics of environmental enforcement, and local wetlands protection. Konisky's research appears in a number of journals including the American Journal of Political Science, the Journal of Policy Analysis and Management, Policy Studies Journal, Political Analysis, and Political Research Quarterly. He is also co-author of the book: Superfund's Future: What Will it Cost? (RFF Press).
