Mary Stegmaier Awarded a Professional Achievement Award

Mary Stegmaier awarded the 2024 Midwest Women’s Caucus for Political Science Outstanding Professional Achievement Award. 

Mary Stegmaier, Vice Provost for International Programs, Director of the International Center, and Associate Professor in the Truman School was recognized for her contribution and leadership in her field by the Midwest Women’s Caucus for Political Science. 

Mary’s sustained commitment to cultivating spaces for women’s leadership was noted by the nominating committee.  “She not only increased the pipeline of women scholars who are well-positioned to take on leadership roles in the university, she also mentored and continue to mentor new leaders.” The committee of Nadia E. Brown, Amy Atchison, and Malliga Och noted, “Her positive and unfailing support of others, she is the kind of person you are happy to have in your corner.”
