Truman Youth Leadership Academy 2017
The Truman Youth Leadership Academy is gearing up for this year’s camp. The Academy is a summer day camp geared towards civic involvement, community engagement and leadership activities for incoming 6th-8th graders. This year’s camp runs from July 10th through July 14th and costs $65. Applications are available at Trumanleadership.org.

The Institute of Public Policy is proud to be a member of the Consortium of University Public Service Organizations (CUPSO) which supports university-based public services institutes in their efforts to assist state and local governments on contemporary issues and challenges. IPP Awards GRAs
The Institute of Public Policy provides hands-on experience with research, program design, evaluation, data analysis and management to Graduate Research Assistants. Graduate Research Assistants acquire essential theoretical, analytical and applied skills from successful completion of designated coursework. The graduate assistantships provide opportunities to apply these skills, under direct supervision of Institute staff. These placements also facilitate professional and interpersonal experiences along with networking and learning opportunities.

MU Hosts St. Louis Area Methods Meeting
The University of Missouri hosted The St. Louis Area Methods Meeting (SLAMM) in April. The annual political science conference is normally hosted by Washington University in St. Louis, but MU political science professors Jay Dow and Laron Williams lobbied organizers to allow the Columbia campus to host the conference for 2017.
